About Joslynn Alston, LACMH

I became a Life Coach after pulling myself out of a 3-year depression. I was unhappy with my living situation, my job and my relationship. Then I lost my aunt and grandmother to cancer. The pain was overwhelming. I was angry, overly aggressive, super defensive and stressed most of the time. I was on a downward spiral and finally got to a breaking point & became desperate for change. I decided to go on a self-help and healing journey to find happiness & purpose. Once I was able to pull myself out of depression, I began coaching others to help them do the same.

Then during the pandemic, 4 of my family members passed away and my younger brother was murdered, all in less than one year. Once again, I spiraled into depression and had anxiety that was so bad I could not eat or sleep. I found a new church & a therapist that helped me through the hardest time in my life. Having a closer relationship with God through prayer & reading the Bible gave me strength & the ability to overcome. Therapy helped me process my grief, get rid of my depression, and manage anxiety symptoms so they would not control my life.

I decided to help others the same way my therapist helped me. I went back to college, while working full-time and being a wife and mother because I was passionate about helping people. Now I am a licensed therapist who focuses on spiritual well-being, emotional intelligence, and mental wellness. I help people heal from trauma & grief, deal with depression & anxiety and have healthy relationships. My goal is to help others find spiritual balance, peace, love, and the stability needed to live a purposeful life.
